Vintage Dine-In Gondolas
Most of us have probably traveled by cable car - but have you ever dined inside a gondola, especially a vintage one?
At the House of Switzerland, three iconic gondolas, once used for decades to transport skiers in the Laax region of Graubünden, at an altitude of almost 3,000 meters, have been transformed into a unique dining installation. When it opened in 1978, the Vorabbahn was a remarkable innovation, becoming Switzerland’s first six-seater gondola lift. The cabins remained in operation for 47 years.
Today, you can step inside to enjoy a lunch, a snack, or a romantic dinner with friends and family, and experience the charm and nostalgia of the Swiss Alps in an unforgettable setting.
