Concert of Mattiu – Presented by “Swiss Sounds in Milan” to celebrate the Emna rumanscha!
Giardino

The music programme showcases some of the finest contemporary Swiss artists on the stage of the House of Switzerland. More than just a concert, it is a celebration of Switzerland’s rich diversity and multilingual heritage, featuring talents from all four linguistic and cultural regions of the country.
Mattiu, 27, is a singer-songwriter from Laax, bringing the raw beauty of the Grisons mountains to the stage of the House of Switzerland. His warm, gentle voice and emotional depth evoke the quiet serenity of a winter morning in the Alps, making him one of the most compelling new artists in the Swiss music scene. His lyrics cut deep, like glacier crevasses, while his melodies rise from the mountains with a power that can both move hearts and stir the soul.
Singing in his native Romansh, Mattiu blends Alpine imagery, earthy warmth, and modern songwriting into a sound that transcends language and resonates far beyond Switzerland.
His debut album, “Sur La Selva” (2022), entered the Swiss album charts and earned him the SRF 3 Best Talent award. With more than 150 concerts across Switzerland, he has graced major festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Mundartfestival Arosa, and Stars in Town.
