Masterclass: ‘Bees and biodiversity: the silent balance of mountain pastures’
Salone delle Alpi

With Carlo Mariani from Wooding Lab, beekeeper – Giovanna Frova, Swiss Cheese Consortium
A meeting dedicated to the role of bees as indicators of the vitality of mountain pastures. From pollination to floral diversity, the workshop explains how small natural balances create resilient and rich landscapes, capable of expressing value, identity and quality in mountain-related production.
Just as bees preserve the biodiversity of mountain flora, cows also contribute to the balance of the pasture ecosystem by grazing and trampling.
We will taste mountain cheeses, such as Gruyère AOP, Sbrinz AOP, Emmentaler AOP from the mountains and Etivaz AOP in their pure form, paired with honeys from different flowers. A winning combination where the aromas and taste are enhanced, leaving the palate with fruity, intense and velvety notes.
Participation is free, upon reservation (subject to availability).
